In 2024, the Spencer Sparks 4-H Club laid the groundwork for a multi-year renovation of the 4-H Building on the Clay County Fairgrounds. Thanks to their fundraising efforts, support from the Clay County Fair Board, and more than 500 hours of volunteer work by Sparks members and other 4-H youth and supporters, they made tremendous progress on this initiative.

Building on that success, the Together for Tomorrow campaign was launched to continue this important work and unite all of Clay County 4-H in the effort. The next phase of the project included painting the auditorium, insulating and replacing the stage floor, and creating more storage space for 4-H supplies. The long-term vision is to raise enough funds to replace all doors and windows in the Exhibit Building, make improvements to the HVAC system, and update AV technology. These upgrades will allow us to offer high-quality programs and provide ongoing opportunities for 4-H members to showcase their hard work, creativity, and dedication—during the fair and throughout the year.

The 4-H program is a cornerstone of youth development in Clay County, and these updates will ensure that future generations have a space to learn, grow, and celebrate their achievements.
